My Creations Cube

Last night I worked on this while I watched Margot at the Wedding. Movie was weird – kinda interesting – but weird. That’s ok I was pretty occupied with the cube creation ;) The cube template is from Close to my Heart and I used the Unforgettable paper kit. It was so much fun and I really like it. I think I’ll take it to work for my “cube” ;)

January Crop

I am fortunate to have a friend that hosts monthly crops in her home. She has a fabulous set up with a good variety of cricut cartridges, cardstock, stamps etc. But more importantly it is a really FUN group of ladies that join in. And so much yummy food. It is always a really fun time – I look forward to these each month!

I completed 12 layouts at the crop yesterday! Here are my pages:

I am getting close to having 2009 completed. I should be able to get it done at the February Crop. Yeah! Can’t wait :)

NOTE: The FRIGHT Night layout was designed by a lady that teaches cricut classes at a local scrapbooking store.

Yummy Buffalo Chicken Dip ~

Are you getting ready for the Superbowl? I have a terrific recipe to share! Its got some kick but if you can stand the heat you gotta try it ;)

4 boneless Skinless chicken breast halves, boiled and shredded

1 12 oz bottle Franks Hot Sauce

2 8 oz pkgs cream cheese

1 16 oz bottle Ranch dressing

1/2 cup chopped celery

8 oz monterey jack cheese or cheddar cheese grated

Preheat oven to 350

In a 13x9x2 inch baking pan, combine the shredded chicken meat with the entire bottle of hot sauce, spreading to make an even layer.

In a saucepan, combine the cream cheese and ranch dressing over medium heat until smooth.

Pour this mixture evenly over the chicken. Sprinkle with chopped celery.

Bake for 20 minutes then sprinkle cheese on top and bake another 15-20 minutes until bubbly

Serve hot or warm with sturdy tortilla chips or Celery.

Yes, I admit it. I’m a Paper Ho :)

My weakness and my love is patterned paper. It is my absolute favorite part about scrapbooking. Recently, I found a blog called “pretty paper. true stories.” Yes! Exactly – love it!!! The title of her blog inspired this post. I am in the middle of preparing for a monthly crop I attend. I have so much patterned paper because as I said before it is my weakness. I am on a mission to use up a good portion of what I have already. No new paper until I have finished my 2009 family book and the rest I would like to donate to a local daycare or a youth program for at risk kids. So as I get ready for the crop I would like to share with you how I go about preparing for my pages. Disclaimer: I am not always this organized and just as many times I’m piling ALL of my paper, stamps, pictures etc into a bag and hoping for the best! But when I do take the time to follow this method I enjoy the crop so much more because I am so much more productive!!

So….step 1 ….. PHOTOS

Step 2 …..INSPIRATION

Step 3  ******* PAPER , PAPER and MORE PAPER :)

Stuff 004 Stuff 014 Stuff 007 Stuff 005

Step 4 BAG IT

Stuff 021  Stuff 023

Step 5 FIND ACCESSORIES, STICKERS ETC and add to bag. This final step is optional as most of it can take place when the page is assembled.

I have 12 bags to take to the crop with me and if I am successful I will come home that day with 12 finished layouts.

Go ahead call me a paper ho – I know its true - I love me some patterned paper :)

XOXO – Miss Kelley
