My craft area is one of my favorite areas of our house. It has taken me years to build my craft and scrapbooking supplies. And then this past winter my hubby got me this large and in charge desk! I just love, love, love it!! For the longest time I kept my supplies hidden away in a storage bag. When I wanted to scrapbook it was always some huge chore just to get all the stuff out, scrap and then put it all away. Now as my new area has evolved I can keep a layout on my desk and work on it over a period of time. I try to sneak downstairs when I have a free hour or two to devote to it :) I also love my area because I keep my favorite items out for inspiration…paper, stamps and my cricut. I find the process of scrapbooking so relaxing and the results are so rewarding!
Welcome to my little corner…..

I made this box for my daughter so that she has a place to hold her cards and other personal items. I started with a plain white My Creations Keepsake Box. I applied a very adorable patterned paper from Archivers I bought last fall. Then I painted a chip board frame pink. While it dried I used the cricut to cut out letters that sell her name SKYLAR. Once the frame was dried I put it all together adding gem embellishments. It turned out really cute and she loved it!
I have always loved pictures even as a young child. I had a grandmother that kept a very organized set of photo albums. When I visited her I would sit for hours going through every single album. I especially loved the pictures of my parents when they were young and falling in love. (awww). So I think my initial interest in scrapbooking really had to do with my love for pictures and memories. When I first started scrapbooking I was very unsure what to do or where to start. I felt clumsy of course but I kept with it. I really have to give a lot of credit to my neighbor and friend because she introduced me to crops and she has also taught me so much about it. I think going to crops really sealed the deal for me. I just love being with other terrific gals that share my love for preserving memories. There are many things I love about scrapbooking….I love the supplies…paper, stamps, stickers….I really love coordinating kits too..I love organizing all my photos and deciding how I am going to preserve the memories…I love gathering with others and scrapbooking with them….they inspire me and teach me. I Heart Everything about Scrapbooking! :)
Here’s a sampling of some of my recent pages….
Last night I worked on this while I watched Margot at the Wedding. Movie was weird – kinda interesting – but weird. That’s ok I was pretty occupied with the cube creation ;) The cube template is from Close to my Heart and I used the Unforgettable paper kit. It was so much fun and I really like it. I think I’ll take it to work for my “cube” ;)
Happy Saturday!
Miss Kelley :)
