Early Morning Crafting

I woke up bright and early this morning to take advantage of a quiet house. I made the following cards which will be shipped over to a friend of mine. She is coordinating a card shower for a young man in the area recently diagnosed with cancer.

Supplies used: Later Sk8r paper, Tommy Paper, Lagoon, Colonial White, Juniper, and Slate cardstock, Outdoor Denim, Juniper, and Colonial White ink, Card Chatter – Sympathy, For Any Occasion and In the Background Flair Stamp Sets and Artiste Cricut Cartridge. I also used my Sissix Embosser.

Without a little rain there would be no rainbows…

A dear friend of mine had surgery last week and so I made her this card and delivered it to her today with a Shepherds Pie. The products I used were: Sky Cardstock, Pacifica Cardstock, White Daisy Cardstock, Pacifica Ink, Pear Ink, Sky Ink, Sunset Ink and A Rainbow Acrylix Stamp Set (retired). Thanks for stopping by!

Sympathy Card - March Stamp of the Month

My brother in law recently passed and I made this card for my wonderful mother and father in law. I cut the card in Colonial White with Art Philosophy and stamped the flowers (March SOM) with Blush, Tulip, Sweet Leaf and Pear. I distressed the edges with Twilight to match the Twilight cardstock placed inside the card with a “Sorry for your loss” sentiment.

Crops, Classes and Fun!

The last couple months have been busy with work and the family but I have managed to squeeze in some crafting fun! I attended a class in February and March led by my friend and up line Carrie Walker. Check out her blog here: http://createwithcarrie.blogspot.com   She is truly amazing and a big inspiration to me! My mom and I found some time to crop together on a free Saturday and I was able to complete some lingering photos from 2010 and 2011. That felt good! Scrapbooking brings me so much joy! I sure wish I could find more time to craft.

So here are some things I’ve been working on….

The new Idea Book (Close to My Heart Spring/Summer 2013) is the best yet! One of my favorite additions was the Workshop on the Go Canvas Art Kit. I used some photos from our Vegas trip. The kit comes with two different color schemes and your free to create your canvas art as you would like. I followed the layout featured in the Idea Book on page 23 pretty much to the tee.

When my mom and I got together to crop I worked on some stuff I had hanging around.

One of my favorite places to be is at home in my craft area. I try to get to the area when ever I have some free time to spare.

And finally as I mentioned above I attended a couple classes. Here is what we made (all designs pictured were by Carrie Walker).
